DEAI Newsletter

Hi Everyone, Welcome to DEAI’s September 2024 Newsletter! 🙂

OUR NEWS >>>

FUNDING & SPONSORSHIP

WE ARE VERY EXCITED to announce that Blue Bus Tours have offered to sponsor DEAI with generous support over the next 12 months.

Mick and I had the pleasure of travelling with Geoff and Sandra, company owners, down to the Parkes Elvis Festival in January this year and we had a complete ball.

Geoff and Sandra are also the parents of our Ukulele Man Gary, who is featured on the DEAI brochures and website.

Once again we are very grateful to ETC  for their support with the Kingston Butter Factory Workshops which would not have been such a success without them.

We have also set up a GoFundMe to support the running costs of our Workshops and to hopefully reignite our fortnightly gigs at Swara. We would appreciate any donation that you or your staff may be able to give and help us get back to gigging at Swara. A big Thank you to everyone who has already donated. 🙏 https://gofund.me/f7de2f04

SHOULD YOU or YOUR COMPANY be in a position and like to help fund these workshops we would love to hear from you!

THE HUB

Editing footage from the Butter Factory Workshop Module 1 and preparing for Module 2 is our main focus at the Hub this fortnight.

Our one on one tuition is becoming popular, with Calob joining Stephan to learn Music Production and Lighting, John with Warren for Guitar and Vocals as well as our long standing student Kibria also being taught guitar and vocals by Warren

PARTNERING with SWARA

Regretfully, DEAI has had to suspend our fortnightly gigs at Swara for the moment until some funding becomes available.

However, we have been invited to perform at their commemorative “Celebration of Founders Day” on 17 October 2024 and we are so looking forward to jamming with all our friends again!

BUTTER FACTORY WORKSHOPS

Oh Wow! Our Kingston Butter Factory Workshops were a great success! We had so much fun presenting our 1st Module on the 17th September and look forward to Module 2 on the 1st October.
