ETC and LCC Promotional Filming

On October 29th, we had the pleasure of showing off DEAi’s fantastic work to the wonderful folks at ETC, who have greatly supported our workshops at the Kingston Butter Factory. They brought along a film crew and photographers to capture all the fun during Module 3, where our participants sang, danced, and explored the exciting world of Midi. A big thank you to ETC for being such great partners in this journey!

Logan City Council also filmed our participants in a promotional video showing the ease of disability access and disability facilities at their amazing Butter Factory precinct.  Thank you Logan City Council for supporting DEAi with this wonderful venue.

FUNDRAISING

DEAi has become regular Bunnings BBQ holders at our local Loganholme Bunnings. 🌭  We are just beginners but learning fast! 

Our next dates for this year are Sunday 1st Dec, Sunday 15th December and Sunday 29th December .. Please come down and support us if you are in the area. 🙏 

THE HUB

Editing footage and preparing Modules have kept Warren and Stephan busy at the Hub.

Our one-on-one tuition is becoming popular with Calob joining Stephan to learn Music Production and Lighting, John with Warren for Guitar and Vocals as well as our long standing student Kibria also taught guitar and vocals by Warren.

PARTNERING with SWARA

Although we have had to suspend our fortnightly gigs at Swara, we did perform at their Founders Day Celebration on the 17th October, and had an absolute blast.

New and familiar faces rocking and having a fun time … we just want to get back there!

FUNDING

We have submitted an application to the BMD Community Assistance Program for $5000 to support the Musical Workshops at the Butter Factory and await an outcome by the end of the month.

BUTTER FACTORY WORKSHOPS

Oh Wow! Our Kingston Butter Factory Workshops have been a great success! 

We have had so much fun presenting these workshops and have been overwhelmed with the interaction and talents of the participants.  The 1st Introductory Module was on the 17th September and was followed a few weeks later with Module 2 – Guitar, Module 3 – Midi, Module 4 – Songwriting and Module 5 – Vocals.

We are looking forward to next fortnight, the 10th December where we will be celebrating the finale with a Christmas concert showcasing what was learnt, and of course, having a rocking, good dance party 🥳🎸
