Welcome to DEAI’s March Newsletter! 😀 Can you believe it’s nearing the end of March already? 😯

Apologies for there not being a Newsletter in February, as our President and Secretary were away holidaying in Bali 🏝️

FUNDING

BUTTER FACTORY WORKSHOPS

  • We are in constant collaboration with ETC and the Logan City Council in the hopes of hosting 2025 Workshops.

  • ETC has kindly supplied us with additional funding to host our workshops this year and we are now waiting on notification as to whether the Kingston Butter Factory is available. THANK YOU ETC!

FUNDRAISING

  • We look forward to collaborating with Bunnings Loganhome to recommence our sausage sizzles on a regular basis, now that President Mick has recovered from his injury.

THE HUB

  • Waz is busy with design and tutoring.

  • Stephan is now our General Manager and as well as tutoring Sound and Lighting, he is extremely busy developing DEAI and networking.

  • Mick is also involved at the Hub, brainstorming during meetings and business development.

GENERAL

  • We have had a number of inquiries for DEAI’s band Spektrum to perform for major events and have locked in a few in July.

  • Three years in, DEAI is finally being recognised within the Disability Sector and beyond!

  • Our team visited the Community Care Expo at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre recently and made some excellent connections and discovered more opportunities with possibly having a stall and performing at next year’s Expo.

CAN YOU HELP

  • DEAI needs more volunteers! If you would like to help and be part of our team, contact Mick 0414 987 289 or Jenny 0412 083 427.
  • We are still looking for a social media person who would be willing to donate a few hours of their time.
  • DEAI is a Centrelink approved voluntary organisation.
