Newsletters are Back! 😀

DEAI hasn’t shared our news in quite some time, but rest assured we’ve been busy building and gigging, having fun providing musical experiences for the Disability/Neurodivergent sector 🎸

Firstly, we would like to thank our wonderful supporters ETC, Blue Bus and Phoenix Lifestyle Support for their ongoing support!

• Please check out the links below to see what these fantastic companies have to offer!!

WHERE WE LEFT OFF:

Our 2025 Showcase, where our workshop participants had the chance to perform on stage with the
Spektrum Band. This event was one big party and celebration, with lots of audience interaction, dancing
and fun. A special thank you to ETC for making this possible. 🙏

2026 WHAT’S HAPPENING

C2G

• In January, C2G approached us to do weekly gigs for clients at their facility in Wellington Point.
Every Tuesday Waz usually does a solo gig with them and the confidence and eagerness of participants coming up on stage with him is inspiring.

• Each fortnight our tech support trainee, Caleb, comes along to support Warren with stage
management

FUNDING

• In February DEAI put in an application to GCBF Super Round in the hope we could secure a new
van. Unfortunately we were unsuccessful but looking further into the decision we were told that at
the last minute the Government changed the criteria, otherwise we were up there with a chance!

• We currently have another application for equipment to further enhance participant engagement and
keep up with new technology.

PHOENIX LIFESTYLE SUPPORT

• Mick has been filling in at Phoenix, while Robyn has been away on holidays, leading their weekly music program.

THE HUB

• Tutoring is available for one-on-one music training! Please make contact for further details.
• Laura from C2G has taken up our training offer! Check out her amazing voice on DEAI’s facebook

GENERAL

• Three years in, DEAI is finally being recognised within the Disability Sector and beyond! 🙏
