DEAI Newsletter

Hi Everyone, Welcome to DEAI’s August 2024 Newsletter! 🙂

OUR NEWS >>>

THE HUB

Stephan is just back from a week in Sydney where he was showcasing his Lighting Shows at Parliament House and networking for DEAI 😉 He has had some great responses from down south.

Warren has been busy working with Peter designing the workshop flier and has also been doing some great networking through his contacts within the music industry.

FUNDING

LOGAN COMMUNITY BENEFIT FUND

We are very disappointed in not being successful with our submission for the Logan Community Benefit Fund which we were hoping would be the financial support in running our upcoming Music Workshops at the Kingston Butter Factory.

SHOULD YOU or YOUR COMPANY be in a position and like to help fund these workshops we would love to hear from you!

ETC SPONSORSHIP (Employment Training Community)

DEAi and its team members are very grateful to ETC for their huge support of $5000 in sponsoring the development side of the workshops which enabled the show to GO ON!

PARTNERING with SWARA

We have an absolute party performing at Swara each fortnight, but unfortunately, if we are unable to source funding we may need to cancel our gigs while our workshops are being presented as from the 17th September.

Until then our next Swara gig is 3rd September 🎸

Here’s hoping we can find the financial support we need to be able to keep these performances up for our friends at Swara! 🙏

BUTTER FACTORY WORKSHOPS

Fine tuning our workshop presentation continues and we are getting very excited as the time draws closer.

Tickets will be $10 per session, the first one is FREE! We have attached a copy of our workshop flier…If you would like us to send you some brochures once we have them printed, please make contact Mick 0414 987 289 or Jenny 0412 083 427.

If you know of anyone (living within the neouradivergent/disabled sector) who is high functioning and may be interested in attending, please spread the word.

CURRUMBIN VALLEY HARVEST

We also want to give a big shout out and THANK YOU to our wonderful friends Elisha and her team at Currumbin Valley Harvest (CVH) who raised over $400 for us at their recent Winter Moon Harvest Community Celebrations!

The CVH team have also been supporting us by collecting bottles and cans for our “Containers for Cash” donations. Thanks team 🙏

If you’ve never been out to the harvest for your organic fruit and veg, lunch or a coffee in this tranquil setting by the Currumbin river, you’re missing out on something special! Now open every day! Check them out on Facebook
